If you happen to be around Ground Zero, look up, and at the top of Russell Simmons’ home beaming from his windows you will see it spelled out for you.

As you know Russell Simmons has been on the front lines of the recent ‘Ground Zero Mosque’ controversy.  The debate rages on and as a result Russell Simmons took action. He is using his New York City penthouse as a statement for all of us to stop the fighting and coexist.

Artist Glen E. Friedman created the installation which includes the word Coexist as well as three other statements:

USA = Free

Lev 19:18 (which refers to the bible verse Leviticus 19:18: ‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.’)

note: the artist has since changed the bible verse to Mark 12:31 ‘The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.’

It’s The Law

The ‘Ground Zero Mosque’, which is actually a community center, debate has been going on for some time now and it and Simmons has been making his voice be heard, on Global Grind and Huffington Post.

His message is coming across and now with him using his home to make a statement his message will ring true…we need to COEXIST
