More like ‘save the drama for tuesday nights at 10.’ Why is it that, as a society, we are completely entranced by the drama that takes place on ‘reality’ tv these days?! Have our own lives become so mundane that in order for us to have anything to conversate about at work we turn to Bravo and engage ourselves in the chaos that takes place in the lives of strangers? Personally, I enjoy shows like Run’s House and The Secret Miilionaire, shows that actually have a purpose other than entertainment. Shows where people are helping people don’t seem to command the kind of ratings that The Jersey Shore and Bad Girls Club bring in on a weekly basis. It is beyond me as to why that is the case. No one wants drama in their own lives yet we yearn to see it in the lives of others.  Run’s House is a show that I LOVE to watch because it’s about a real man and his real family dealing with real problems. There are no drunkards fighting in bars yelling about how ‘real’ they keep it. In my opinion, I believe that show was so popular because it filled a gap in people’s lives. People want to see how someone so famous and accomplished as Rev Run handle their home lives and its refreshing to see he does it with love and understanding. If Bad Girls Club was called ‘Christian Women’s Club’ do you honestly think it would be as accepted as it is in it’s current state? Probably not. All I’m saying is if you hate drama why do you love it so much. Just a thought. Peace, family.
