With summer love brewing, it’s important that you gentlemen are on point when it comes to the ladies. While I don’t doubt that you all are more than capable of courting a woman, a few pointers from a member of the female sex wouldn’t hurt, right? Although it’s impossible to be perfect, here are a few of my tips to prepare you for that special date.
1. Be well-groomed.
I’m sure I can speak for most women when I say that there’s nothing like a well-groomed man. No, complete manscaping isn’t necessary. But a fresh haircut and a shave go a long way.
2. Be a gentleman.
This should go without saying, but just for good measure, always be a gentleman! That means holding doors, pulling out chairs, the whole nine.
3. Keep your cell phone in your pocket.
Don’t worry, all of your text messages will still be there after the date. If you don’t give her all your attention, why should she return the favor?
4. Keep the conversation going.
Another good way to keep her attention? Good conversation! Don’t try to force it though, just let it flow.
5. Pick up the tab.
If it’s your first date (and it was initiated by you), you should pay. Sure, she might offer but remember, first impressions are everything.
6. Make a move!
If you can sense some good vibes between the two of you, make a move! Of course, be a gentleman about it. If opportunity is knocking, answer it.
