The Daily Grind Video

God Bless America.

After much controversy, Lil Wayne releases a sneak peek of his controversial “God Bless Amerika” video. The Eif Rivera-directed video stirred up controversy when a fan-made behind the scenes video showed Lil Wayne stepping on an American flag that had fallen on the ground.

In an effort to curtail the outrage, Lil Wayne released a statement that reads:

“It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America. I was shooting a video for a song off my album entitled “God Bless Amerika”. The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed that behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground.”

The video features Lil Wayne rocking a “Jesus Saves” t-shirt in his old neighborhood, Hollygrove, which is located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

If you’re looking to see Wayne live in concert, you’re in luck. Wayne, T.I., and 2 Chainz are currently embarking on their “America’s Most Wanted” tour.

Weezy’s “God Bless Amerika” video is set to premiere later on today. In the meantime, watch the 33 second teaser up top.
