We didn’t think it was possible, but Sharknado 2 is happening!
Syfy announced it has ordered a set for the sequel to Sharknado, a TV movie about a tornado of sharks raining mayhem and death from above. The new city to be hit by this crazy storm is none other than NYC.
Sharknado 2 is just the working title, the movie will get an official title with an appropriate subtitle after a Twitter contest. To enter, fans can tweet their subtitle to @SyfyMovies using the tag #Sharknado. Syfy will select the best submission and use it as the subtitle for Sharknado 2.
There is no announcement on whether stars Ian Ziering or Tara Reid will return to the Sharknado set, but both have said they would be interested if a sequel developed.
Syfy confirmed that they have not discussed any other details, but we hope a casting list appears soon.
The Sharknado is coming in 2014!
