You know how the saying goes: First impressions are everything.
This rings true for many life situations like job interviews, and the current topic of discussion: dating.
This should go without saying, but guys, there are major don’ts when it comes to what to wear on a date, and if you’re stumped as to what they may be, don’t worry – I’m here to help.
Inappropriate screen tees: Your friends might think that “female body inspector” t-shirt you own is funny, but your date will not be laughing. Don’t get me wrong, women love a man with a great sense of humor – this just isn’t the type of humor we’re talking about. Do yourself a favor and leave that shirt at home.
Basketball shorts: Unless you’re planning some sort of romantic “Love and Basketball” type of date, we don’t want to be courted by a man in basketball shorts.
Sandals: There’s nothing wrong with going with a casual look for a date, but if you’re contemplating on wearing a pair of sandals, don’t. Instead, slip on a pair of fresh sneakers – I know you’ve got boxes of them in your closet!
Formal wear: Ladies love a dapper gentleman, but that doesn’t mean you have to overdress. You want to look your best without looking like you’re going to prom, trade in your tuxedo vest and pants for a sport coat and a fitted pair of jeans.
