UPDATE 7/21 11:08 AM EST:

Got em!

Charges have been filed against a sex offender in Texas who’s now accused of holding four men against their will in “deplorable” conditions, then forcing them to hand over their monthly rent checks.

Walter Renard Jones, the grandson of Essie Mae Scranton, who owns the home, allegedly forced the men to live in a garage which had no beds, no bathroom and very little food.

Four elderly men have been found inside what police call a “prison room” this past week in Houston, Texas where they were held against their will, some up to 10 years!

According to ABC, the men were of the ages of 79, 54, 74, and 65, and were discovered by officers in a room where the door was nailed shut.

The site reports:

One by one, the alleged captives were taken away on stretchers. They’re sick, malnourished and confused. Police say they were being held in the home against their will — possibly for years.

Polic think that the men were homeless and manipulated by beer and cigarettes to come inside the home where they were held for almost 10 years.

Some of the victims had to be carried to the hospital since they were unable to walk by themselves.

The police found 3 women in the home and a suspect who was taken into custody. There are not many details on what charges could be pressed.

We pray for the victims and hope they can recover soon.
