Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson came under fire after the 23-year-old posted a selfie on Instagram.
The problem? Ashley’s photo bore a striking resemblance to that of one Amanda Bynes – remember, this one?
Benson’s photo shows her pursing her lips and closing one eye while pulling at her curly locks, much like 27-year-old Amanda’s photo, posted on Twitter months ago. Instagram went off after Benson decided to share the photo with her fans.
“Doing my Amanda Bynes look this afternoon,” the caption read.
While a majority of Benson’s followers saw the comedy in the selfie, others were livid!
“Amanda has a mental disorder, that’s kind of mean,” one commenter wrote.
Another defended Ashley’s photo.
“She has every right to do this, if amanda can call everyone ugly then why can’t Ashley do this to her?”
Bynes has yet to comment on the photo – she is currently being held in a California hospital awaiting mental health evaluation after starting a fire in a stranger’s driveway earlier this week.
