The Daily Grind Video

Earlier this week, Timbaland revealed he didn’t like Drake and Chris Brown’s posthumous Aaliyah collaborations.

Timbaland went on to say that the only posthumous collaboration with Aaliyah that will “work” would have to involve him, and only him.

“A lot of these rappers out here are awful. Chris Brown got a record [with Aaliyah], it won’t work. Drake could do a record with Aaliyah, it ain’t going to work…Aaliyah music only works with its soulmate, which is me.”

Since making that statement, Timbaland has changed his tune and released an apology statement to Chris Brown.

“I want 2 publicly apologize 2 my lil homie @chrisbrown 4 my statements on revolt regarding the Aaliyah collaborations. i actually like the song wit him n Aaliyah, its just when you are talking about babygirl its a very sensitive subject with me. so the people who not only worked with her but grew a bond so tight we are like family so im very over protective over her. I have mad luv 4 my dude @chrisbrown.”

Surprisingly, Timbaland didn’t apologize to Drake, but we figure the two artists might have chopped it up behind the scenes.

Do you think Timbaland owed Chris Brown a public apology, and do you think he should apologize to Drake publicly as well?
