It’s one thing to be a great entertainer, but to be a good upstanding celebrity is to be a celeb who actually vows to “Do Something.” Last night, vowing to do something for the better of others, celebrities walked the red carpet for Vh1′s annual Do Something awards in Los Angeles.

Contrary to what’s celebrated at other award shows, the Do Something awards don’t commemorate the best performances in movies, instead it congratulates artists who are making a change by doing something to change the world.

But, as with any other award show, it’s always about who wore what on the red carpet. Celebs like J. Cole, Ne-Yo, LL Cool J and Jennifer Hudson were present, keeping their looks event-appropriate for the daytime arrivals. Check out who wore what in the images below.

J. Cole was on the scene preventing a repeat of the BET Awards red carpet fashion mishap in a rare shirt from Damn Pigeon NY. You can shop similar styles here.

Jennifer Hudson was decked out in Versace Versace Versace.

Ne-Yo was on the scene with his fedora on tilt, as usual, but one thing we were feeling is the gold chain belt he’s rocking.

How cute is Kelly Osbourne‘s little purse? We’re sure Blue Ivy has one…

GlobalGrind faves JohnnySwim were on the red carpet looking dapper as usual.

Darren Criss paired the pastels with a navy sports jacket.

Carmen Electra looked stunning in all blue.
