What’s going on with the world?!

Twenty-two-year-old Paul Marquez was arrested for trying to sell the baby of the woman he was dating for $100 on Craigslist.

Acting as the child’s parent, Marquez entitled the ad “Baby for Sale.” In the description, he stated that the 2-month-old had asthma and was also “getting on his nerves.”

“I don’t want her please email me” the ad read.

Based on the criminal complaint, Marquez admitted that the only reason he did this was because he wanted to get back at the woman. They met each other on the internet and have only been out a few times. He stated that he was upset because she didn’t spend enough time with him.

The mother found out about the ad when someone called her cellphone asking about the baby.

Marques was charged on Thursday by Staten Island prosecutors and is being held in lieu of $1,000 bail. He was charged with harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, as well as a social service violation of authority to place or board out children.

If convicted, he could face up to one year behind bars.

We’re glad, however, that the baby was unharmed.
