“I can’t even pronounce nothin’, pass that Ver-sa-ce!”

Rappers have long been known to hop on the luxe designer name-dropping band wagon, from early Kanye labeling himself ‘Kan the Louie Vuitton Don’ to Jay’s recent MCHG designer title “Tom Ford.”  Despite their love of lavish labels that many of us dare not fathom purchasing, nothing quite matches hip-hop’s love for Versace, Versace, Versace.

From Biggie and the whole Bad Boy clique Hypnotizing” the ladies with their “Versace shade watching,” to Big Pun styling in flashy double XL creations, to Lil’ Kim sporting a Versace printed wig in the presence of the late designer’s sister Donatella (who is also a longtime pal of the Queen Bee).

Fast-forward to 2013, and hip-hop’s adoration of the Italian designer still echoes through the speakers of clubs as Drake – oh, and Migos – remind us of the designer’s iconic “Medusa heads like the Illuminati.” As many – including the Toronto rapper, remember Gianni Versace for his bold designs, usage of heavy chain-linked golds and vivid hues, we’re not sure if Mr. OVO has taken a look at the latest A/W 2013 and Spring 2014 pieces from Versace’s namesake.

Which also makes us wonder if, despite Drizzy’s perceived softie reputation, he would be interested in rocking some of the items caught casually sashaying down the runways of this year’s menswear shows. And Migos, you two might reconsider before uttering any more lyrics regarding your silk drawers being Versace. If they are in fact Versace, they may also happen to be lace.

Seize a glimpse at the latest Versace, Versace, Versace runway items that are likely not swaying in the self proclaimed Champagne Papi’s closet or more specifically, folded neatly in his undie drawer:

Although we’re not 100 percent sure what’s under Drizzy’s OVO creations, we’re almost certain he’s late on adopting the runway trend of Versace lace “manties” (aka man panties). Or least we think he’s tardy for the man panty party.

But if you’re a guy who’s game for an interesting challenge, you can purchase the undies here. However don’t expect Hanes prices, as these lacy unmentionables range from $110-$151.
