We have literally been waiting for Dom Kennedy’s new project, Get Home Safely, for the entire summer.
Bad news: it’s still not ready.
However, there’s some new, previously unreleased Dom to hold us over. The track is called “For My Homies,” and it was recorded in 2010 for the compilation project Closed Sessions: ATX, which was released in 2011.
We’re not sure why the song didn’t make the cut, because it’s heat. It features Dom rapping Dom-like bars over a smooth piano-based beat from SMKA.
The song just kinda proves that Dom has been dope for a long, long time.
