In a fashion falsetto.

The-Dream may be a hit-maker for himself and other leaders in the music industry, but when it comes to his fashion sense, some may label him a one-hit wonder. Who could forget Dream’s “Parental Advisory” Grammy ensemble? Or better yet, the shade thrown ever so lightly by Jay Z“I’d like to thank the swap meet for his outfit.”

In light of Dream’s fashion faux-pas, GQ magazine decided to assist the mega-pen in the fashion department by styling him for a project upgrade makeover. The men’s mag elevated the crooner’s style sense by decking him in the luxe designer labels of Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, and of course, Louboutins for the feet.

Naturally, The-Dream defended his style sense and shopping habits. Check out what he had to say about that and his thoughts on his designer makeover duds:

“I’ll go into Bergdorf and see a piece that’s beautiful,” he says. “It may look tacky with my jeans, but I don’t give a fuck.”

“The Louboutin sneakers exude what’s hood of me, but with a high-life feeling,” he says.

Alongside his style remix, GQ supplies corresponding footage of Dream’s Project Upgrade makeover. In the vid, he gabs about everything fashion related, including his theory on balancing his street style ethics with high-end pieces from Bergdorfs.

So, what do you have to say now Jay? What are your thoughts on The-Dream’s GQ makeover?
