All hail King Kendrick!

The last two weeks have shaken the hip-hop industry to the core after Kendrick Lamar’s no-holds-barred, highly controversial verse on Big Sean’s “Control.” The Compton emcee went ape sh*t, dropping names left and right, and Instagram and Black Twitter went HAM in accordance. With names like J. Cole, Big KRITWale, Pusha TMeek MillA$AP RockyDrake, Big Sean, Jay ElectronicaTyler, the Creator, and Mac Miller called out by Kendrick, everyone had an opinion on the song and Kendrick’s claim that he’s the “King of NY.”

There have also been a ton of freestyles and rebuttal tracks courtesy of multiple rappers in the game, from Joe Budden to Iman Shumpert (?). But here at GlobalGrind, we have been wondering why none of the rappers called out by Kendrick have responded with their own comeback song.

But we might have all the answers as to why Kendrick’s fellow peers have not said a peep regarding the verse; maybe they’re busy worrying about other things….

It’s obvious J. Cole is too worried about not disappointing Nas – again.

Big KRIT is too busy making new tunes in Mississippi.

Wale is too busy buying foamposites off Flight Club.

Pusha T is too busy trying to figure out his name….While…

Meek Mill is busy breaking through various levels of Candy Crush.

A$AP Rocky is enjoying his favorite past time…

Drizzy is singing at weddings….(His longtime dream).

Big Sean got all that ass; what else can a man want?

Jay Electronica is aspiring to be the Dalai Lama.

Tyler, the Creator is…busy being a weirdo.

And Mac Miller is …well…we don’t know.
