It’s that time of year again: the MTV Video Music Awards are back.
We can’t decide if we’re more excited about seeing the most phuckin’ epic boy band reuniting or about the possibility of baby North West interrupting Taylor Swift’s performance, but what we are really looking forward to are the glamorous, theatric, outrageous fits that are sure to hit the red carpet. Let’s be honest, what’s an award show without some “WTF are they wearing” outfit moments?
The MTV VMAs has never been your Grammys when it comes to apparel, but it damn sure is entertaining. Who can forget Gaga’s meat dress, Lil Kim’s boobie show in 1999, or Nicki Minaj’s wild hair antics? There are a few celebs who faithfully arrive at the VMAs in what you might say is some, interesting, attire.
So if you weren’t already pumped for the show, here’s a list of a few celebs that you might want to catch on the red carpet: the good, the bad, and the downright weird.
Katy Perry is no stranger to fun and color. In 2011, the California babe rocked a pink bob with a square box on her head. Yup, a box.
There isn’t anything bad about badgirl RiRi when she hits the red carpet. We loved this white, backless Adam Selman gown she rocked last year.
The YMCMB familia, need we say more? Maybe this year they’ll tap out of the fashion disasters and get it together.
Lady Gaga has no limit when it comes to picking out her outfits for the award show. Yeah Eminem, we’re thinking the same thing.
Rita Ora rocked this risque jeweled jumpsuit last year to the event. Wasn’t our favorite, but we know she’ll redeem herself this time around.
Look at that confident stance 2 Chainz has in those leather gold pants, leather jacket, and he can’t go un-noticed with all that gold. Nothing simple about 2 Chainz, except those two chains around his neck.
Riff Raff, we think the braids might have to retire and maybe even that designed beard too.
Give us glam, give us jeweled leotards, give us anything; Beyonce can do no wrong and we’re excited to see what she arrives in. Who knows, maybe baby number 2?
Rebel Wilson always knows how to make a statement, as she wore this bikini t-shirt at last year’s show.
Oh, and we can’t forget Nicki Minaj... can we ask Roman for maybe a new wardrobe this year?
We can’t wait to see what sexy outfit Miley Cyrus decides to wear, but let’s be honest, we’re anticipating some twerkin!
