George Zimmerman Trial Continues In Florida

Remember when Shellie Zimmerman told Good Morning America that she and husband George Zimmerman were living in the woods at one point to hide out from the public?

Well, that was a lie.

Turns out the house where the Zimmermans stayed during the trial (and the time leading up to the trial) was a palatial sanctuary of sorts with a spa, a showpiece pool, a huge backyard and some serious landscaping.

That’s about as woodsy as it got.

According to the Orlando Sentinel:

On Sept. 5, according to GPS records at the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the couple moved for the last time.

It was into the large house not far from the courthouse, according to George Zimmerman’s drivers license records. The home is owned by someone close to the couple.

Their lives there were so discreet that a neighbor last week said she had no idea who its occupants were.

The house is at the end of a quiet street of expensive homes and is surrounded by woods on three sides.

The gorgeous two-story, $240,000 home was 10 minutes away from the Seminole County criminal courthouse where Zimmerman was acquitted for murder and had two security cameras trained on its front door.

It has more than 3,500 square feet – more than 2,500 of it livable square feet – and a market value of $240,000, according to the appraiser.

The house was built in 1990 and the backyard is dominated by a two-tier pool and spa with four water jets shaped like lions’ heads. Also in the backyard is a patio with a second-story deck.

And though the Zimmermans claimed to have spent only $1,000 on rent a month, documents show that that amount was well below what the house was worth.

Speaking of money, we wonder if that’s what they were fighting about on Monday

Who knows with these two.
