When award show season officially kicks off in the early months of the year, sometimes we’re subjected to recycled looks that we’ve seen at prior events on loan to different celebs. But The Primetime Emmy Awards have a benefit that a lot of other shows don’t: They take place smack dead in the middle of Fashion Month. What does that mean? It means fresh off the runway looks for everyone!
For the aforementioned, last night’s red carpet trends not only served as a look into the fashion future, but it was also an opportunity to get a look at what trends we are going to be rocking on the trickle down to retail scale when the flowers are in bloom this spring.
The most notable color trend that dominated the red carpet at the Emmys last night could be seen on actresses like Claire Danes, January Jones, Ireland Baldwin and Cobie Smulders: pastel blush pink.
The romantic hue works with almost every skin tone and hair color, and the variations in the ways to accentuate the color are endless.
While blush was having its moment, things were a bit more royal on the other end of the spectrum, as Allison Williams (in Ralph Lauren), Tina Fey, Rocsi and more lovely ladies were spotted keeping it royal in strong hues of blue.
