Live from the ATL! Atlanta, Georgia is the epicenter of hip-hop for the next 2 weekends. Speaking of the A, when it comes to hip-hop, Atlanta has more styles than Staten Island’s 36 chambers. Check this new joint from Money Makin Nique featuring Rich Homie Quan called, “Feel Better.” It should also read, featuring Brownstone. The 90’s soul group’s powerful vocal sample from their hit “Grapevyn” is the centerpiece of the hook. “Feel Better” is some feel good ish with two of hip-hop’s up and coming new voices.

So what Drake’s and Jay Z’s “Pound Cake” was the hottest record of the week when radio stations all over the country streamed Drake’s album. So what “Pound Cake” is the hottest track on his album, Nothing Is The Same. So what the L.O.X. and Lupe Fiasco have already dropped crazy freestyles to the track’s instrumental. Here’s the track and you can judge for yourself…

Just heard this hard ass track from G.O.O.D. music’s Ryan McDermott called, “Wicked Sandman.” It features…yep, you guessed it, Sandman. Sandman is a dope feature, but it really would have caught heads off guard had McDermott teamed up with Homeboy, Sandman (wink). That said, this is a sonic, incredibly produced track that will hopefully find its way on Ryan’s next project. Stay tuned.

New music from The Chef, Raekwon, this is called, “Marble Cake.” This track is one of the most laid-back smooth vibes  that I’ve heard Rae rhyme on in a while. His flow is still that golden next level shit that made The Wu a household name in hip-hop. “Marble Cake” won’t make the rounds on radio, although it will grace several esteemed music columns, including this one. It’s music you need in the stash.

The TDE crew has had the hip-hop universe on fire. Schoolboy Q is one of the most sought after MCs in the game right now. His live show is one of tightest in the biz as well. His newest song, “Banger (Moshpit),” is definitely riot-starting festival music. Peep the lyrics though. Schoolboy is talking that west coast G ish. This is a great follow-up to his smash, “Collard Greens.”
