Adrienne Bailon is making big moves!
The former Cheetah Girl is putting her name back at the top of Hollywood, and looking into a bigger and better future.
She recently covered Rolling Out magazine, where she talked about getting some new adult roles on the movie front, her ex-boyfriend, and some dating tips!
She also talked about her sad ending with the Disney family after the Cheetah Girls movies stopped being made.
The blondie even up-ed the ante going topless for the mag.
On leaving her Disney family she says:
“I was a 26-year-old and still playing a 15-year-old. I think The Cheetah Girls was originally supposed to be one film, but then it became two and three, which was a huge deal. But like all Disney franchises, they have to come to an end at some point. I was so grateful we went out with a bang. I think we died off peacefully.”
As for her most recent on screen appearance in I’m In Love With A Church Girl:
“The film is actually based on the true-life story of the project’s writer, Galley Molina. I think the biggest message in this movie is that your past does not determine your future. I think it has such a great message of hope, especially for people right now who feel hopeless — that feel they have done so much wrong. God wants you to come as you are. He can turn your life around.”
On making new music and doing a solo album:
“It’s so crazy, timing for me is everything. I think that everything seems to be working right on time. People have been asking about my solo album for such a long time. When I originally came from Cheetah Girls, I was making music that was real to me but not believable. I think there was a disconnect there. I am a grown woman and I’ve been through a lot. The most important thing about my music is that we don’t jump the gun and throw anything out there. I want to make sure that it’s going to actually connect with my audience.”
She dishes some first date advice for the fellas, saying:
“The best thing a man can do on a first date is be a friend. I think that’s the biggest mistake men make on the first date. Just get to know me. Be my friend. Just kick it with me as if I was hanging with a homeboy. It shouldn’t be this awkward situation. It should be that we’re there, having a great time. But the worst thing a man can do on a first date is act like he’s your boyfriend. I think attempting to hold hands is completely ridiculous. A lot of PDA, that’s awkward and uncomfortable. I think be cool, be chill and you’ll be successful.”
On dating Rob Kardashian and keeping her love life private:
I think the most important thing that I’ve learned is that you live and you learn. Try not to make the same mistakes twice. This time around for me, I think it’s just something you have to keep sacred. You have to keep to yourself and keep things private. Control it as much as you can.”
Adrienne has been through so much, but she’s overcome it all! We’re so proud of her!
