On Monday, DJ Future The Prince premiered a snippet of Drake’s unreleased Hit-Boy produced track “Trophies” during the “Pound Cake” rapper’s concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The triumphant track created excitement amongst Drake fans, and fortunately, the Toronto rapper is gearing up to the release the track in full.

During an interview with Revolt TV, Drake discussed why “Trophies” didn’t make the final cut of his album.

“I wouldn’t even call it a leftover. It was definitely on the album. I’m not just a throw it together kind of guy. I had two different hooks on there and I didn’t like any of them. I started sending it around, and as great of a job other people did, it just didn’t sound right if I wasn’t on the hook. I just want to do my own hook for the sake of performances.”

Drake went on to say that he has an artillery of hits he’s waiting for the right time to release. He also mentioned that the “Wu-Tang Forever” remix will drop soon, and that he still has unreleased songs from Aaliyah’s posthumous project.

It was just yesterday that Drake announced he would be offering a European leg of his “Would You Like A Tour?” tour featuring Toronto R&B singer The Weeknd.

Drake’s also gearing up to release the video for his Nothing Was The Same banger “Worst Behaviour.” Check out Drake’s interview up top.
