HBO has released the first official trailer for their new show, Looking, and it’s already being deemed the “gay GIRLS.”
While we’re unsure if the comparison to our beloved GIRLS is completely justified, we definitely can’t wait to see what this new show has to offer. Unsurprisingly, set in San Francisco, the show chronicles three middle-class gay friends trying to find their way in the iconic city (can someone say Hannah, Marnie & Shoshanna?)
The trailer introduces three friends: the single one on the quest to find true love, the older guy who looks ten years younger than his age, and the quirky one who does not believe in being held down by a relationship (…can anyone say Carrie, Charlotte and Samantha?)
In any case, all of these men are hotties equipped with a full range of sexy beards. Oh! and apparently they look for roommates on Ok!Cupid (we already like this show).
The series was created by Andrew Haigh, stars Jonathan Groff (Glee) and Russell Tovey (the UK version of Being Human) and premieres on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 p.m., following the GIRLS Season 3 premiere.
We certainly can’t wait!
