Sorry, guys.

The reality television show, Ford Nation, hosted by disgraced Toronto Mayor Rob Ford (aka Chris Farley reincarnated) has been canceled. But not before airing its first show, where Ford and his brother tried to convince the public he wasn’t on drugs or abusing alcohol.

If you recall, drugs and alcohol are the same reasons Ford was stripped of his mayoral powers earlier this week. So, there’s that. But Ford didn’t go down without a fight, calling Monday’s vote “a coup d’etat” and comparing it to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait in 1990, warning council members, “What goes around, comes around, friends.”

But anyway, back to this canceled show.

According to CNN:

“It beat our record of 100,000 viewers,” but the time and production the show required does not make it a viable option, said Kory Teneycke, vice president of Sun News Network.

The Ford brothers will appear as regular guests on Sun News programming, he said.

The show debuted Monday, the same day the Toronto City Council voted to strip the mayor of most of his powers in a tumultuous meeting during which a charging Ford knocked down one of its members.

Now, Ford is without a job and a television show (to our dismay). But we do have that clip of him tackling one of the Toronto City Council members, just in case you were sad about not getting a chance to see Ford make a fool of himself on television.

Ah…gifs. The gift that keeps on giving.
