Mack Wilds’ “Own It” has been one of the great surprise hits of the summer. And even though rappers like Rick Ross and Chinx Drugz have touched up the beat, Mack went a different route when he was thinking of a remix.
He called in legendary southern rapper Ludacris for the official “Own it (Remix).” Over Salaam Remi’s bouncy beat, which samples Eric B. & Rakim’s “Eric B. Is President,” Ludacris raps some punchline heavy bars.
“Own It” is a very New York record, but that doesn’t mean Mack can’t spread the love. It’s the Staten Island way.
