Chi-Town continues to unleash the wave of ‘new gods’ on the rap game. From Keef to Durk and now Cap 1, the city of wind is at hurricane wind strength to say the least. Cap 1’s latest offering Hittaz features top notch production by BandCamp’s Parris Buellar. This new track may be early as Cap has a few songs circulating right now. Hittaz is riot music and shouldn’t have a problem in the streets whether Internet or real.
Compton MC YG has made DJ Mustard a household name in hip hop music. If you haven’t heard a song on the radio or in the club with tag “DJ Mustard on da beat hoe!”, it’s safe to say you live in a state of wackness. YG’s new joint Left, Right is a twerkers dream come true. The simplicity of this party track also gives it a punchers chance with mainstream audiences, Stay Tuned.
Undoubtly one of the hottest rap records of the year was Busta Rhyme’s Thank You which features 16’s from Q Tip, Lil Wayne and a tag by Yeezy. So it goes without question that I was eager to hear their latest song Butch and Sundance. On some hip hop ish, this is golden. Will it appeal to every fan? Hell no. But I promise you haven’t heard skills like this in a long time. The mixtape The Abstract and The Dragon should be a collectors item.
