For weeks, Justin Bieber’s name has been the topic of conversation for all the wrong reasons. But now it seems the 19-year-old pop star is trying to turn things around for himself – by looking to the Lord.
While spending some time in New York City this weekend, Bieber is said to have been scouring the city for pools in which he and the Hillsong Church of NYC could hold a ceremony similar to a baptism.
“Justin and his team spent time on Saturday searching for a place with a pool where the could conduct a baptism for him, a cleansing ritual, with the Hillsong Church. But they couldn’t find a place in time,” one source said.
“Justin is serious about his Christian faith, and after recent events, he needed to take a pause,” another source added.
That’s not all Justin did during his trip to New York. The “Confident” singer attempted to smooth things over with his faithful Beliebers by posing alongside them in the snow on Monday. Justin was spotted hanging out a car window, smiling and receiving a smooch or two from eager fans. According to the Daily Mail, Bieber was calm, cool and collected and allowed dozens of fans to snap photos with him before retreating back into his limousine.
Calm as he may have been, Justin’s troubles are far from over. According to TMZ, Justin’s days of jetting in and out of the United States are officially over. Biebs has officially become a target of U.S. Customs.
Late last week, Justin’s plane was boarded and searched extensively by U.S. Customs. Justin was taken in and questioned before finally being set free.
According to TMZ, Justin’s been placed on a Homeland Security watch list due to his two ongoing criminal cases. Justin will reportedly receive the same treatment every time he leaves or re-enters the country.
Yikes.
