It was revealed earlier this week that rapper DMX was selected to face off against George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match.

Fox News caught up with the rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, to get more details about the fight  – and you won’t believe what he had to say.

According to DMX, though his name was selected out of more than a thousand other celebrities, he has yet to agree to step into the ring. The rapper says Zimmerman will have to agree upon certain stipulations before he’ll go blow-for-blow in what promoters are calling one of the biggest celebrity boxing matches of all time.

“Well, I was challenged. I was challenged. You know, I still haven’t really decided if I would do it. But if I did do it, the money going to him would have to go to charity,” DMX told FOX Carolina reporter Cody Alcorn.

The 43-year-old rapper told Alcorn he had yet to come to a decision about the fight, but that he was ready if it does happen.

“DMX has promised to ‘beat his ass,’ but no contract or paperwork has been signed or agreed to yet,” said Domenick Nati, DMX’s publicist, in statement.

You’ve heard our Editor-in-Chief’s opinions on the fight, but we want to hear from you – should DMX agree to box with Zimmerman?
