Snow really sucks.
This winter has been particularly harsh, thanks largely in part to the Polar Vortex. A large majority of the United States has spent their winter buried under mountains of snow. That’s right, folks. Areas of the United States that haven’t seen snow in years got a dusting of the white stuff this year; Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas experienced snow so severe (at least by their standards) that it caused power outages, major traffic and a plethora of accidents.
Because we know how tired you are of seeing winter weather advisories and we totally feel your pain, we’ve rounded up all the things that suck about this harsh winter.
For weeks, parts of the Northeast, Midwest and South have been battered by snowstorms. At this point, people all across the country can’t leave the house without feeling like this…
…or this.
As of today, we’ve been battered, bruised and beaten by four severe snowstorms. Hercules, Janis, Nika and Pax unleashed their wintry wrath on a large majority of the United States, with snow totals reaching multiple feet…
and stores are low on supplies…
…so don’t even bother trying to do any real shopping. Buy whatever’s there.
…fortunately, liquor stores are always stocked & ready.
For many, the intense snow and ice storms meant no power…
Which means no TV…
…no Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook…
…no Netflix binges…
And really, what else are you supposed to do when you’re trapped at home?
Traveling during a snowstorm is clearly not ideal…
…but the roads aren’t much better after they’ve been plowed.
…which means no gym…
…no delivery, so you’re in the kitchen tonight, chef…
…and no going to friends’ houses to do nothing together.
Live in a major city? Then you know just how difficult parking becomes after a snowstorm, let alone four…
As a kid, fresh snowfall was a welcome sight…
…but adults don’t get snow days…
…so good luck getting to work on time with all the other poor suckers with no ‘work from home option’…
…because trust us, your boss isn’t buying that you’re coincidentally sick…
Despite the fact that this winter seems never-ending, stores have started swapping out their winter clothes for spring collections…
…which means getting dressed for the next few weeks should be fun.
On the bright side, if you’re reading this right now, you’ve survived thus far…
Do your worst, mother nature…
