27-year old Brooklyn mom, Yayun Weng, nearly killed her 2-year-old son, Ryan Gao, after she whipped him with a bamboo rod during an intense head-to-toe beating, according to authorities.

Not only did she beat her son to the point where he had black and blue brusies, bite marks, lumps, and was in critical condition… she refused to seek medical help for two whole days. Daily Mail reports:

Yayun Weng, 27, was held on $50,000 bail after a Brooklyn court hearing where spectators gasped as details of her helpless only child’s injuries were revealed. Prosecutors said she confessed to the heinous assault — beating the boy’s feet with the bamboo rod and an open hand, biting his legs and pinching him everywhere.

According to prosecutors, the toddler:

“Has bruises over his entire body, multiple bite marks, swelling and bumps to the head, and internal head injuries.”

Cops insist that the attack occurred on Tuesday but Weng did not bring Ryan to the emergency room until two days later, around 8pm.

The site reports:

The child, who turned 2 just two weeks earlier, was bruised over 90% of his body. Weng reportedly detailed what happened in an interview with the NYPD’s Brooklyn Child Abuse Squad. A prosecutor, in asking for $100,000 bail, offered to show Judge Jo Ann Ferdinand photos of the injured child attached to tubes and machines in the hospital ICU. The judge declined. The father works long hours as a cook and is frequently not home, a police source said. He declined to speak with a reporter after his wife’s arraignment.

Weng is due back in court on Thursday. This is a horrific story and we hope justice is served. Head over to DailyMail for the troubled mom’s photo. Developing…
