A 76-year-old man was thrown to the ground and tasered by cops six times  in Pennsylvania before they realized that he was not his brother, the man who was supposed to be arrested.

According to WFMZ, the Lehigh County Police are being sued after Robert Gross was wrongfully tasered and injured when cops thought he was his brother Carl Gross.

What’s even more astonishing is the fact that news of the mix-up wasn’t even discovered until later on during a set court date!

The site reports that Robert drove Carl Gross Sr. to a Wal-Mart to visit his granddaughter, when cops came and shoved Robert to the ground.

Apparently, Carl Gross Jr. (Robert’s nephew) told 911 that his father (Carl Gross Sr.) was dangerous, which is why cops came to the scene and took action.

The site states:

The suit claims police approached Robert Gross, screamed at him and threw him to the ground on his chest, causing him  “pain, extreme shock, and alarm.” The suit claims Robert Gross asked police what was going on, to which police replied: “You know.”

In the lawsuit, it’s stated that Robert suffered a large amount of chest pain that made him fear death, and is looking for more than $50,000 in damages.

Hopefully Robert gets his money; Getting tasered is no joke.
