The Daily Grind Video

Drake. Love him, hate him or hate on him. The light skin Keith Sweat isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. When you listen to the lyrics of his latest joint “Days In The East,” you understand this notion. Hey look, I hate on the brother too at times but he’s a genius. Have you seen any Drake interview? He has a regal confidence like Prince Charles, like He’s in a place you can’t even spell. But he is. So listen to his latest “Days In The East” and just deal with this dope shit…

And just for good measure you need to also check the new Drake “Draft Day” track. I usually won’t plug an artist twice but just like the song says, “suit and ties…. yelling out pay the guys… you know I had to do it for ya!” This is serious head nod action courtesy of Boi-1da.

Anything Janelle Monae touches turns to gold including this new song “Heroes.” It’s a remake of a David Bowie 70’s classic donning the same namesake and Pepsi’s taken an interest, as the company has a “campaign” that this track will be featured in. So in others words, enjoy it now in its entirety before the television turns it into a mind numbing jingle that you can’t escape.

I remember calling to pay my phone bill one time and the operator was from Kansas City and told me her favorite rapper was Tech N9ne. I was like “who?” How we even got on that topic of music while talking about my bill is a mystery to me. That was back in 2010; fast forward to 2014 and I have nothing but the utmost respect for Tech and his Strange Music family. Check this new shit out featuring MURS called “Hard ( A Monster Made It).”

James Fauntleroy’s magic is, like, everywhere these days. For the last several weeks he’s been throwing his great music to consumers for free and anybody listen will agree that his talent speaks for itself. Peep his latest, “Year Round.”
