The first case of MERS, which has infected hundreds in the Middle East, has been tracked to the U.S. by the CDC after a man fell ill after coming back to Indiana from Saudi Arabia. Health officials of the state are currently investigating as the man recovers in the hospital, and he is reportedly in good condition. Officials are looking to track down passengers he was close to while on the flight, as well as poeple he interacted with inside of the airport, even though it “represents a very low risk to the broader, general public.” [Huffington Post]

After hockey defenseman P.K. Subban scored a game-winning goal while playing against the Boston Bruins, he was hit with over 17,000 tweets containing the n-word by Bruins fans. Despite a student allegedly handing out “semen-filled” cupcakes at her school, authorities are saying that no bodily fluids were found in the baked goods. Police were reported that a 10th grade girl at Centennial High School was passing out tainted cupcakes that contained items such as pubic hair, semen, expired food, and pills. Other students told police that she put the contents in the cupcakes of those who had been picking on her, but only barbecue sauce, soy sauce, and mayonnaise were found in the traces. [ABC]

Fields was convicted of double murder in 1986, but freed after his retrial that took place in 2009. He spent 12 of his 18 years on death row for the crime. [Sun Times]

The sudden collapse of the third floor in a Washington, D.C. strip club left strippers in the venue with no choice but to jump from the third story window of the building. As the adjacent building crumbled in the afternoon, the exotic dancers had to dress themselves and desperately hop out of the window of the Cloakroom. Eight strippers were forced to evacuate the building during their shift between 12 PM and 7 PM later that evening. Only one person was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.
