Who was going to be Angie Martinez’s first guest?
That is what everyone was wondering after it was announced the ex-Hot 97 personality was taking over the 2 to 6pm slot on Power 105.
That question was answered yesterday during her first Power 105 show.
Angie’s first guest was her good friend, Jay Z, who called in from the Hamptons at the last moment.
Hov doesn’t have much to promote, so he spent his on-air time giving Angie warm words of encouragement:
“I really believe that what you are about to accomplish in the next phase of your life will dwarf everything that you’ve ever done. Because, that’s what people that are great do. You’re not termed the voice of New York for no reason. You’re an institution in radio. That’s a special feat to accomplish.”
