Talk about powerful.

On Saturday, August 9, an unnamed Ferguson, Missouri police officer shot and killed an unarmed black teen named Michael Brown. The 18-year-old’s body was reportedly left in the street for four hours before the police department decided to remove it from public sight.

Since then, the St. Louis suburb has been in shambles, with racial tension at an all time high as violent clashes between protestors and the St. Louis County police continue.

In an act of solidarity and protests, over one thousand Howard University students in Washington, D.C. took a stunning photo with their hands up to coincide with what witnesses say Michael Brown did before a Ferguson police officer shot him multiple times.

As the protests are going on their sixth day, President Obama is reportedly making a live statement at 12:15 p.m EST from Martha’s Vineyard.
