A 10-year-old boy was arrested and charged as an adult in Wayne County, Pennsylvania for beating an elderly woman to death.
The child was visiting his grandfather on Saturday when Helen Novak, a 90-year-old woman, yelled at the child for entering her room. The boy then punched Novak in the throat a number of times.
Before punching the elderly woman, the boy held a cane to her throat. After the attack, the boy told his grandfather she was bleeding from the mouth. The grandfather checked on Novak twice and the second time she was found unresponsive.
The boy is currently being held without bail. A hearing is set for Oct.22.
