Steve Lobel is one of the most legendary figures in the hip-hop industry. The esteemed music manager got into the scene back in the ’80s through the legendary Jam Master Jay and the rest of Run-DMC.

Lobel stopped by the No Judgment Zone with Blogxilla and dished on everything from working with Eazy-E and Bone Thugz, to being mentored by Russell Simmons. He even talked about working on reality TV shows before the industry became what it is today. He told Xilla:

“I started doing reality TV way before reality TV was big. I was on a private Jet with Russell and Yandy [Smith], Lazy Bone and Ludacris. We were doing the voter registration that Russell was genius to do. We did a tour…flying back on the private jet to New York, Yandy started talking to me ‘You have a great personality.’ Russell says, ‘You don’t know white boy Steve. Everyone knows White boy Steve!’ She took down my information, six months later got a call from Mona Scott who was doing a reality show with Missy Elliot, wanted me to play the manager. It was back in time, we were on UPN.”

If you aspire to be in the music industry, this interview is a must-watch. Check it out.
