The case of the missing 13-year-old from Atlanta has gotten more bizarre by the minute.

More details have come in about the father and stepmother who kept the boy captive for four years in Atlanta, Georgia, the AJC reports. Gregory Jean, 37, and Samantha Joy Davis, 42, were denied bond Sunday until their next court date when police found the missing child behind a false wall in their Riverdale home.

The boy was isolated from everyone and was limited to only the yard during his time with his father. When neighbors became suspicious about the child’s well-being, Jean told neighbors he was home schooled. Since then, a video has been released of the child doing manual labor on the roof. The video was recorded by a worried neighbor in September.

Police have also discovered documents that reveal Davis allegedly harmed one of her biological children in 2006. Davis reportedly cut a piece of her child’s tongue with hot scissors as a form of punishment.

Police were awaiting court documents from Henry County to confirm that Davis is the same Samantha J. Davis that was convicted of child cruelty in Henry County in 2006 after cutting off part of her own 6-year-old son’s tongue with hot scissors after he talked back to her. The attorney who represented the Henry County woman eight years ago told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the woman arrested Saturday in Clayton County is the same woman.

Jean and Davis are set to appear back in court Dec. 9.

It is unknown if the 13-year-old suffered any injuries while housed by his father and Davis. Police are continuing their investigation as more details continue to come forward. Clayton County police Chief Gregory Porter will also hold a 3 p.m. press conference on Monday about the case.
