If you recently scheduled a FedEx delivery for Christmas gifts this holiday season, chances are you may not receive them on time.

A huge FedEx truck crashed Monday morning, spilling packages onto a highway just nine days before Christmas. The crash occurred at around 2:45 a.m. on Interstate 289 in New Jersey.

The driver reportedly lost control of the truck, causing the tractor-trailer to overturn.

Authorities say the driver lost control of the double-trailer and veered off the right side of the road, then went down a grass median and ended up on an exit ramp.

Shortly after the crash, a second truck was on the scene in order to avoid any delivery delays.

FedEx officials say company crews got to the scene shortly after the crash and quickly reloaded packages to help reduce possible delivery delays.

Luckily, the driver walked away with only a few minor injuries. We’re not sure we can say the same for some of the packages sprawled out onto the pavement.
