They found love in a seemingly hopeless place.
Alexis Templeton and Brittany Ferrell tied the knot on Tuesday after meeting in Ferguson while protesting against the non-indictment of Officer Darren Wilson.
According to BuzzFeed, the women are members of Millennial Activists United, a group dedicated to bringing down racial injustices, sexism, and many other social issues. Alexis proposed to Brittany at St. Louis City Hall Tuesday and they got their marriage certificate the same day.
The couple shared their big day online, and had the support of St. Louis City Attorney Winston Calvert.
