Nicki Minaj performed in Angola this weekend and loved every minute of it.

The lady lyricist brought up a whole crop of concerns when she agreed to do a show in Angola for a company called Unitel, which is partially owned by the country’s dictator, José Eduardo dos Santos. His government has a long history of committing human rights violations, and many thought it was a bad idea for Nicki to perform there.

Despite a call from The Human Rights Foundation for her to cancel the appearance, Nicki did the show anyway.

Nicki didn’t seem too bothered about the controversy her performance stirred up, though. Instead, she just reveled in all of the excitement from fans who turned up for the show.

The “Trini Dem Girls” rapper even repped the Angolan flag on her back.

Clearly, Nicki was unbothered about collecting a check from Angola. Her critics will have to remain mad.
