The Game runs Instagram and has a good album in The Documentary 2. But this year’s wins didn’t alleviate his legal issues. After spending December bullying Miami rapper Stitches, The Game has pled not guilty to assaulting officer Onyebuchi Awaji during a basketball game, according to the Associated Press.
Back in April, Awaji filed a report saying The Game punched and threatened to kill him during a basketball game. Awaji, who was off-duty, claimed he suffered brain damage from the assault.
As a result, The Game is facing one felony count of criminal threats and one misdemeanor count of assault and battery. There’s enough evidence to stand trial, and The Game could face jail time.
Game is scheduled to reappear in court on Jan. 11.
