Source: Global Grind / Global Grind

Welcome back from your Thanksgiving break, we have returned with yet another weekly dose of Global Grind’s The Rewind. Like we always do at this time, Global Grind’s bullies, DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius are back once again for another episode of The Rewind. Every week we get our experts to discuss the cultural happenings of the last week and then rate them from a 1-10. In case you have been living under a rock, The Rewind will always be here to get you right.

Last week, we hit you guys with a special Thanksgiving episode which was all about the shows you should be binging on while you’re enjoying your four day weekend. Now we’re back to our regularly scheduled program with some more looks from last week.

Back in 2013, Ice Cube dropped a song called ‘Everythang’s Corrupt‘ on the NCIS: Los Angeles official soundtrack and now, five years later, he’s dropping an album of the same name. Ice Cube has been teasing this album for years. Back in 2014, he tweeted that it would be released in May of that year. Obviously, things didn’t pan out that way. The album, which is a follow up to his 2010 ‘I Am The West‘, would be Cube’s 10th studio album. Over the summer, he revealed that picking a single was causing the most recent hold up.

He told the Korea Herald, “(We’re) Trying to figure out the single (off of the album), and how we’re gonna release it. But it’s comin’. No more waitin’.”

Well, Ice Cube may have just given us a taste of what is to come because he released a new song “Arrest The President” and it’s giving off classic NWA vibes. DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius take a deep dive into the new track, then give it a 1-10 rating. Is Ice Cube back?

Crazy Rich Asians came out on DVD and Blu Ray on November 20th. The film is about a woman finding out her longtime boyfriend, Nick,  is super wealthy after she accompanies him to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. She’s also shocked to find out that he’s considered one of the country’s most eligible bachelors. The film hit theaters on August 15, 2018, and brought in $236.1 million at the box office. To say it was a blockbuster smash would be an understatement.

Landon and DJ Franchise share their thoughts on the film and whether or not they’ll be copping it when it on DVD. Then, of course, they drop their rating.

Watch all this and more on this week’s episode of The Rewind above.
