Pitbull is known as “Mr. International” for a reason. Aside from bringing his Miami flavor to every city around the country, countries around the world love him as well.

At 30 years old he’s got six albums under his belt, one of the hottest songs on the radio right now and in the process, he’s proving to everyone that Cuban flavor is oh-so-sexy.

We caught up with Pitbull to discuss his spicy VMA performance, his road to success and what it’s like traveling with 60 women. Yes, 60! Check out our exclusive below.

GlobalGrind: First off, let’s discuss your VMA performance from back in August. It was a great performance, especially with all those women!

Pitbull: Thank you on the performance, that was a lot of fun. It’s hard to get 60 women from Miami on a plane after they were partying the night before to bring that vibe out there, but that’s exactly what we were looking for. We were looking for a lot of energy, something very sexy, sophisticated, powerful and orgasmic.

Discuss your relationship with super producer RedOne.

We are definitely working together. We’re working on a new artist, Nayer, she’s on “Give Me Everything.” Red more than anything, as far as the music, he is a genius and more importantly, he’s a good guy. So with that said, we are definitely going to be doing business for many, many years. Oye Red Ya tu sabe.

This was such a successful year for you. What was different this year?

I don’t think anything was different. We’ve been working hard for many, many years. We’ve found opportunities from amazing artists, amazing brands and it’s really given us a platform to show what we’ve been doing for so many years. But I wouldn’t take it any other way, because we got a chance to create a foundation all around the world and create that leverage in the United States.

Looking back, what has the journey been like for you?

That’s what’s priceless, there’s no check you can put on that, there’s no fame, all of that is garbage compared to what the journey is for real. Hopefully we have more memorable moments, priceless. To me that’s what it’s all about: the journey.
