AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SUMMERTIME!
I know it’s not quite summertime yet, but with the heat wave hitting the East Coast, summer has definitely arrived.
There are many summertime jams that bring back the feeling of sweet goodness, but there’s no summertime jam that resonates with the essence of summer quite like DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince’s 1991 smash “Summertime.”
I don’t know about anyone else, but everytime “Summertime” comes on, I just want to sit in my lawn chair and ride around New York City like Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.
Since it’s #FlashbackFriday, I decided to take a look back at summer in 1991.
So here it goes, here are the 11 things I want to do when Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince’s “Summertime” comes on…
1. I want to dance uncontrollably like this…
and this. Then I want to…
2. …stand up in my friend’s convertible
3. and make my other friend flip the bird at all the other seasons.
4. Then I want to simulate a blow job on an ice cream cone.
5. And bust out my white jeans.
6. And live dangerously by riding a motorcycle with my hands up.
7. Then I want to cannonball in my underwear.
8. Oh, and tan until I look this old orange hag.
9. And play one-on-one with the boyfriend I don’t have.
10. Did I mention I want to enter into an EPIC rap battle?
11. Lastly, I want to go to as many BBQs as popping as this one.
