Apple detailed the Air’s new updates, such as more space and faster speed, and showed off the Next Generation MacBook.

The new MacBook Pro has retina display, is 15.4 inches across and is as thin as an Air – it weighs less than 4.5 pounds! Apple also added an HDMI slot so you can hook your laptop up to your HD television.

The new OS X Mountain Lion was also discussed in-depth. It will use iCloud more and will allow users to respond to their iMessage directly from their Mac. Also, when you sync your device, Safari will allow you to pick up where you left off on a different device.

The iOS 6 was unveiled as well. Siri was improved and can tell you sports scores, movie times and can make dinner reservations. She is now available on the iPad as well.

With the update, users can FaceTime without needing WiFi and can decline a call and have reminder sent later. There is a Do Not Disturb feature that allows you to tell your phone not to disturb you.

Facebook integration was also created for the iPhone, very similar to the Twitter integration released last year. Also, there is an Eye Free feature that allows you to bring up Siri just by pressing a button on your steering wheel – a few car companies have already jumped on to have the button in their cars.

The maps application was greatly improved, now with turn-by-turn directions that will let users know of up-to-date traffic information and accidents. Apple also added the ability to view cities and buildings in 3D.

Engadget reported that Tim Cook announced there are now 650,000 apps in the App Store and customers have downloaded 3 billion apps, which is a new milestone.
