It’s going to be a busy night for Russell Simmons as he gears up to chill with President Obama during his 100th re-election fundraiser in New York City.

EXCLUSIVE: A Global Salute To Nelson Mandela

Obama will be all over Manhattan tonight, and is expected to attend four separate events, including two intimate receptions at private homes, a swanky dinner at ABC Kitchen and a star-studded gala featuring musical performances by The Roots, Ben Folds and Ingrid Michaelson.

STORY: Finally, A Feel Good Story!

One of Obama’s first stops will be Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s locavore eatery ABC Kitchen in the Flatiron District for an intimate fundraising dinner, and then he’s off to speak at a glamorous gala held at ABC Carpet & Home, hosted by Uncle Rush himself.

The events are expected to bring in upwards of $4 million dollars for the campaign.

After hosting a dinner for the President, Uncle Rush will take his talents to Cleveland, OH to show support for Dennis Kucinich, the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 10th congressional district.

Kucinich is currently locked in a bitter primary re-election battle with Toledo Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur.

Kucinich will campaign in Toledo and Lorain on Saturday with Uncle Rush at his side. The pair will appear at Toledo’s Scott High School gymnasium at noon, and then attend the Palace Theater in Lorain at 3:30 p.m. to discuss youth and adult community empowerment, economic development, peace and the need to vote.

Uncle Rush and Kucinich are great friends. In the past Russell called him:

“The voice of Main Street Americans and Progressive politics. He has always stood up for middle class Americans and for those who are struggling to reach their dreams against the efforts by corporate America to enrich itself at the expense of everyone else.”

Uncle Rush is making some serious political moves as of late and we’ll be here to follow his every step!
