Talk about a well-fed baby!

Central Chinese mother, Wang Yujuan, 29, gave birth to one of China’s heaviest babies – recorded at a shocking 15.5 pounds.

STORY: WOAH! Brazilian Baby Born With Two Heads!

According to the Associated Press, the delivery took about 20 minutes and Wang and her newborn, named Chun Chun are doing fine.

The size of Chun Chun puzzled many, especially his father Han Jingang, who said his wife didn’t do anything unusual during the pregnancy. He also added that he was delighted when she gave birth “to such a big, fat son.”

Wang, who has a daughter who weighed 8 pounds at birth, was also stunned but spoke on how differently she felt while pregnant with Chun Chun saying:

“I clearly felt that my body was more clumsy than when I had been pregnant with my daughter. My belly was bigger than it was then… I guessed the baby would be between ten and 11 pounds. I never expected to hear that he weighs 15.5 pounds.”

The Guinness Book of World Records says the heaviest baby was born in Ohio in 1879 at 23.7 pounds.

We are just happy that the delivery was successful and we hope that Chun Chun remains in healthy condition!
