Jessica White held her annual charity event for her Angel Wings Foundation last night in the Hamptons at a packed Georgica restaurant.

Dressed incredibly in white, Jessica along with hundreds of others including Russell Simmons, platinum recording artist Shontelle (who gave an amazing performance at the end of the dinner) and Lisalla Montenegro, all celebrated the important work of the foundation, which focuses on women and girls who have been sexually abused.

The money raised will be given to UNICEF’s City Of Joy Program, which serves 180 women between the ages of 14 and 35 every year with psychotherapy, an extensive training programme comprising literacy, economics and sexuality education in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Abused as a child herself, Jessica said during her remarks to the crowd, “This is personal to me, this is not just something that I went and slapped my name on.”

She went on to say, “I was sexually abused as child by my sister’s husband and the work that my foundation does is not going to end sexual abuse, but it will definitely raise the awareness and give room for other women and girls to come forward and begin the healing process.”

It was a powerful night championed by one of the great leaders of our generation, Jessica White.

We stand with her in her fight against an epidemic that affects so many of us.
