If you thought Asher Roth was somewhere Asleep In the Bread Isle right now, it’s quite possible you’d be wrong. The “I Love College” rapper has been hard at work wrapping up his sophomore album that was initially titled Is This Too Orange?, but will now be given a new name because of Frank Ocean‘s Channel Orange.

NEW MUSIC: Asher Roth “Wrestling Is Fake!”

The decision isn’t a sign of disrespect, but in fact, a gesture done to convey the exact opposite for his fellow Def Jam labelmate.

On MTV Hive, he said:

“I can’t reveal the title of it yet. I wish I could. We’re getting there. It was tentatively titled Is This Too Orange?, but that’s no longer the title out of respect to Frank Ocean. We’re re-energizing it with something brand new and we’ll announce it in a couple of weeks.”

NEW MUSIC: Asher Roth “The World Is Not Enough!”

It’s dope that Asher Roth has taken a different direction with his album title in support of Odd Future‘s R&B crooner.

Maybe we’ll even get a collaboration from the two for Asher’s forthcoming project, which is slated to come out January 22, 2013.
