The case of the death of Trayvon Martin is something that will never leave our memory. Artist, Michael D’Antuono has captured the heavy emotions and controversy surrounding the story in a beautiful, now very popular painting and he has now put it up for sale.

The painting titled, “A Tale Of Two Hoodies,” is now available for shoppers on Ebay now with a current bid a little over $4,000.

D’Antuono describes his artwork:

“Like many, I am offended by the remorseless George Zimmerman capitalizing on his ill-gained celebrity by auctioning his first painting. Worse yet is the fact that there are people out there willing to reward the homicidal non-artist $100,00 for it. My response is to auction off my painting and donate 50% of the proceeds to The Trayvon Martin Foundation in hopes that my painting, “A Tale Of Two Hoodies” can help aid the victims’ cause.” The painting, inspired by and completed shortly after the Trayvon Martin murder,  was meant to symbolize the travesty of racially profiling innocent children and the affect prejudice has on policy. The 30″ x 40″ oil painting has created much passionate discourse, being featured on Glenn Beck’s show, The Huffington Post and many other sites.”

And the man behind the piece would like to use the funds he receives for good use. He says:

“My hope is we earn enough money from of this painting to help aid victims and their families and raise awareness of the injustice of racial profiling.”

Kudos! Check out the bid here!
